Yesterday we were drawing and decided to cut out some of the people and glue them onto cardboard. Cutouts are always fun to make. This time I taped on some little "kickstands" onto the backs so they stand up. One of my characters was inspired by a certain movie character that Jack is loving. (Yes, Buzz Lightyear.) Jack calls the cardboard character "Fuzz". They also had fun making Fuzz hold the baby and child on his wings. Nice.
i love the sweet look on jack's face as he carefully secures the baby onto fuzz's arm. :)
ReplyDeleteToo Cute! I am in love with your simple ideas that wow children.
ReplyDeletegreat photos... the baby is my favourite one ;)
ReplyDeleteGenius. Combine 1 already on hand supply + another = something brand new.
ReplyDeleteI love these, too. Want to know what I'd love? An entire book (book idea...) of things to do (toys/games to make) with cardboard boxes. You've had so many amazing examples here on this blog. With all of us wanting to reuse before we recycle, t'would be an excellent tome.
ReplyDeleteThanks everybody!
ReplyDeleteSecret Mommy - Yeah, I love repurposing things before I recycle them. I literally see an empty box and get excited thinking about what I want to make with it. I've actually got a number of cardboard toys (that I've not shown here) that will be in my book.
Hi Joel,

Wow! These are so cute! Simple and yet way too cute! Love these!
ReplyDeletethese are great! Reminds of when I was a kid I used to draw "Punks" and glue them to oak tag n play with them. On the backs of them I'd write little "profiles" with names, weapons, vehicles, etc...
